The Coloplast Assura 2-piece drainable ostomy pouch uses a mechanical coupling that locks to the Assura spiral adhesive baseplate with an audible click. Before locking, you can rotate the pouch into your preferred position for added comfort. Because the baseplate and pouch are separate, you can change the pouch more often than the baseplate.
About the spiral adhesive: The Assura spiral adhesive is designed for secure adherence to your skin and absorbs moisture to protect against irritation. Assura Extra adhesive is also available for people whose output breaks down standard adhesives too quickly.
