The Hollister Pouchkins Newborn SoftFlex ostomy system is designed for small infants with a colostomy, ileostomy, or urostomy. The skin barrier and pouch are separate and need to be assembled before use as a one-piece system. The SoftFlex skin barrier is a standard wear barrier that is gentle on delicate skin. The pouch has a drain tap at the bottom that is compatible with a Luer-Lock syringe, making emptying easier when drainage is liquid. The bottom of the pouch may also be cut off and a soft wire closure added.
