Rigid support on medial side of ankle (with a recess for the malleolus), combined with preformed foam on the lateral side that easily adapts to the ankle shape for a close, comfortable fit.
Provides compression to treat swelling, via the comprehensive shell that evenly distributes compression, and elastic straps that offer additional support.
Then adapts for ongoing support after acute phase: one brace for both acute and ongoing support.
Tightness of straps can be adjusted as swelling subsides.
Restricts inversion and eversion while allowing freedom of dorsal and plantar flexion movement.
